Bali province is a part of Indonesian archipelago, lies between Java Island to the west and Lombok Island to the east. Like many others tropical island, Bali only has two seasons which is dry and rainy season. The dry season usually between March to September while the rainy season usually between October to February. The beaches in the south part of the island tend to have white sand while those on the north and west tend to have black sand. Bali has two major harbors Gilimanuk and Padang Bai, the international airport is located on the south part of the island, named Ngurah Rai International Airport. There is no railway on the island, the major transportation on the island are cars and motor cycles.
Balinese economy largely based on tourism and agriculture. Bali is also famous for its artisan who produces carvings, traditional clothes, and silverware. The tourism industry mainly focused on the south part of the island. The main tourist destination is Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua. Kuta, Legian and Seminyak widely known for its beach and stunning sunset. While Jimbaran and Nusa Dua mostly for its stunning cliff view. There is also Ubud which is known as the center of Balinese art and also famous for its rice terraces view.
The capital of Bali province is Denpasar, located on the south part of the island. The head of Bali province is a governor, in the scope of village Balinese were grouped into a small community called “Banjar” based on one area of living. “Bale Banjar” is a meeting place among members of the Banjar. It also often becomes the place of banjar member to practice their art, like dances and “gamelan” (Balinese traditional orchestra). If one members of the banjar was holding a ceremony the others will gladly help from start to finish.
